In 1987, the Seven-Up Company introduced two new sodas to the market. The uncola campaign was successful among older demographics, but everyone knows soda consumption is highest among younger audiences, for whom a lack of caffeine isn't necessarily a draw. Following Coca-Cola's latest invention, artificial cherry flavoring was added to regular 7up and voilà! Cherry 7up (and Diet Cherry 7up) is born!

Cherry 7up is light pink in color and surprisingly less sweet than the original. It is a favorite of creative drink-mixers and sick college students everywhere.
