The game Worms, particularly Worms 2, owes a great deal to the English comedy Monty Python.
For instance, the holy hand grenade weapon is used upon the killer white rabbit of caerbannog in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, as is the phrase "run away!" (uttered by worms about to get blown to smithereens).
The various captions when a worm dies, such as "Frank is an ex-worm", seem to be references to the famous dead parrot sketch from Monty Python's Flying Circus.

If anyone finds any other references, please, /msg me.
hamster bong in his/her wisdom has pointed out to me that only one of the various voices available does the Monty Python-esque "Run away!" when about to be exploded. I think it's the default voice, though.
