George Blanda's record of 2.002 points with a field-goal in the fourth quarter of the Vikings
football game against the
Buffalo Bills. Anderson's record is now 2.004 points and rising in future games.

Anderson was born in
Parys,
Orange Free State,
South Africa. He came to the
United States in 1977 (when he was 18) to play soccer, and was
drafted by the
Bills in the seventh round in 1982 (171st pick overall).
Anderson started as a freshman at Syracuse playing soccer, and was the top scorer for the soccer team that year. Anderson finished his college football career with 198 points and made 42 of 56 career FGAs (75%). He also posted Syracuse's school record 97.4% FG rate as a senior, making 18/19 attempts.
