Headed by founder Mark Jacobs, Mythic Entertainment started out in 1995 as Interworld Productions. They changed their name to Mythic Entertainment in November of 1997. It is a computer game design company most famous for their highly popular MMORPG, Dark Age of Camelot. Camelot has been by far their largest release to date, with most of their prior titles (listed below) involving online pay-to-play platforms such as AOL.

Mythic has gained notariety amongst gamers by hiring rant site editor Scott Jennings (a.k.a. Lum the Mad), and another noted ranter, Sanya Thomas (a.k.a. Tweety). Some have speculated that their hiring stemmed from a desire to take the online gaming world's two highest profile ranters off the market. However, few people give much credence to those rumors, as both of them have amply demonstrated their value to the company in their designated rolls as Utility Programmer and Internet Relations Manager respectively.

Other titles from Mythic Entertainment:

  • Spellbinder: The Nexus Conflict
  • Aliens Online
  • Starship Troopers: Battlespace
  • Silent Death Online
  • Rolemaster: Magestorm
  • Darkness Falls
  • Darkness Falls: The Crusade
  • Splatterball
  • Godzilla Online
  • Dragon's Gate
