A philosopher of Ephebe, writer of the scroll De Chelonian Mobilis, in which he states that the world is flat and is carried through space on the back of four elephants, supported in turn by a giant turtle. He lives in a barrel, like many great philosophers, from which he sells axioms, proverbs and other philosophical nonsense. Blind, he carries a lantern without any oil. Considered a bit of a loser by other philosophers and a dangerous blasphemer to heliocentric priests. Stars in the book Small Gods by Terry Pratchett.
