One of the only sole-purpose, non-"farm" buildings in the game Warcraft III, it provides the most useful scout (and useless unit) for the Undead.

Requirements: Halls of the Dead
Cost: 200 Gold, 80 Lumber
Buildings Allowed: Boneyard
Units Created: Shade (15 seconds)
Upgrades Available: None

Stats: Build time: 45 seconds. Armor: 5. HP: 900.

The Sacrificial Pit forms an often neglected hub of an Undead main base. The excellent, quickly produced Shade is created here by sacrificiang an Acolyte, a quick process that creates an invisible and invisibility-detecting, attackless, scouting unit. Best to have your Halls of the Dead or Black Citadel rallied to the Pit, and then rally the pit to points on the map - the Pit creates Shades faster than Acolytes can be recruited, making it a fantastic converter for collapsed Haunted Gold Mines. Also, by allowing the Boneyard, presents the only way to flying siege - the dreaded Frost wyrm.
