Roy 'Chubby' Brown is an abrasive and distinctly low-brow comedian, hailing from Middlesbrough in the Northeast of England. Chubby's real name is Royston Vasey, which has recently been borrowed for the fictional setting of sinister comedy The League of Gentlemen (in which he makes a cameo appearance as the town mayor). Some people, myself included, hold this to be the highlight of his 30 year career in show business. The second best thing about Roy 'Chubby' Brown is his dress sense, which since it generally consists of a leather flying helmet, goggles, and a technicolor patchwork suit, is truly horrendous.
