Named after Elias "Lucky" Baldwin (Although it was originally named "Pleasant View, " then "Vineland," then its current name), it is a town in the San Gabriel Valley 16 miles outside of Los Angeles. It is located on land originally part of the San Gabriel Mission and was owned by Baldwin after William Workman and John Rowland lost their land holdings in the area. Also, in 1949 the first In-N-Out Burger was built there.
