NetHack, a
dangerous scroll that, when read, causes partial or total loss of memorized
spells and/or the
dungeon map. Bad news. The
cursed version causes total loss of both
map and
spells,
uncursed causes partial loss of both
map and
spells, and the
blessed version causes loss of
map, but no
spells.
Also a good example of how The DevTeam Thinks of Everything, as the message ordinarily produced by reading this scroll is "Thinking of Maud, you forget everything else"; however, if you name your character Maud, the message reads "As your mind turns inward on itself, you forget everything else."
