In
NetHack, this
potion will add 1 to a randomly selected
ability score when
quaffed. The
blessed potion will add 1 to
all ability scores, up to your racial maximums. Note that this potion is ineffective if you are wearing a
ring of sustain ability, and cannot increase
Intelligence or
Wisdom if you are wearing a
dunce cap.
The cursed potion tastes terrible, but otherwise has no effect.
If thrown, the target is restored to maximum hit points, as per a potion of extra healing. If the vapors are inhaled, 1 point is restored (that is, you only gain it if you lost at least one point earlier) to all (blessed) or a single (uncursed) ability score.
