The Ceramic and Allied Trades Union or CATU is the British Trades Union representing 15,000 or so workers in all areas of the ceramics industry in the {united Kingdom].

It can trace its origins back to the formation of the China and Earthenware Turners' Society in 1830. From 1832 onwards it was known as the National Union of Operative Potters until 1920 when it became the National Society of Pottery Workers. It adopted its current name in 1970.
