The trouble with
Hum is that they never release
official copies of their
lyrics. This results in
different versions of said lyrics by
different people.
Little Dipper's first line is a good example of this. While
Stride here has heard and believed that the line ends with '
absent eyes', myself and most others I know believe the line should be, "If we both stand with
paths on high."
Just an interesting thought. If you have those words in mind while listening to the song, I believe they fit better than 'absent eyes.'
They do not, however, make much more sense.
But this is Hum, people. Easy to understand lyrics was never their forte.
