Alkan was also the man behind the live "bootleg" reworking of Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and New Order's "Blue Monday,"1 which Minogue performed at the 2002 Brit Awards. Sadly, Alkan retired Kurtis Rush in February 2002, stating that bootlegging had
"gone too far, what had started off as fun is almost turning into an industry and a 'marketing' tool, and I don't want anything to do with it."2
