Selvas (idea)

In Spanish, "la selva" means the jungle. Other area names in Spanish are playa (beach or vast lakebed), mesa (hilltop plateau), arroyo (streambed), río (river). I suspect in this Webster entry "jungle" is intended. But perhaps not.
