Late-night advertising is the low-budget
type that appears on television
during the wee hours
. Because the commercial airtime
is much cheaper than prime time
, late-night advertising is often host to some very strange and questionable stuff.
Low production values are usually a feature of late-night advertising. Many of these commercials tend to be from local proprietors. The greediest types are the ones that advertise the most, including ambulance-chasing lawyers, self-indulgent furniture pitchmen, and screaming car salesmen.
National commercials that fall under the late-night advertising banner are frequently from insurance companies and mail order products. Once again, the advertisers seem quite a bit more greedy than everyday commercials, although this may arise from the lack of sophistication in their message.
