By Jeeves is a musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Actually it is a reworking of a very early musical by Lord Andrew entitled Jeeves which faired very poorly. While there is an LP recording of Jeeves, it is very hard to find. The recent production of By Jeeves, with a new book and new lyrics by Alan Ayckbourn.

By Jeeves opened on London's West End at the Duke of York's theatre on June 26, 1996 and closed on September 28, 1996.

The Broadway opening soon followed at the Helen Hayes on October 28, 2001 and closed on December 30th, 2001 after some terrible reviews.

One historical note about By Jeeves is that the Broadway cast featured Emily Loesser, daughter of famous American musical theatre composer Frank Loesser (Guys and Dolls, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, The Most Happy Fella) in the role of Stiffy Bing.

One of the highlights of the show is a song called It's a Pig! Which apparently was such an impressive number that the authors deemed it necessary to add an exclamation point to the title.
