's noding of the fifth Edition is beautiful, but I rather prefer the first. The first edition translation
leaves more of the original style
and language, as can be seen in the first two lines:
Awake! for Morning in the Bowl of Night
Has flung the Stone that puts the Stars to Flight:
WAKE! For the Sun, who scatter'd into flight
The Stars before him from the Field of Night,
The act of throwing a stone into a cup or bowl was a warning sign for the people of the desert. As the translation developed such lines were edited out.

Note: While placed in the same nodes as those used by Gamaliel, there isn't a one on one relationship between the first and fifth edition. The first consists of only 75 verses, and those are not the first 75 of the fifth edition.
