A mountain in the Canadian Rockies that rises to an elevation of 2225m (7300ft) above sea level. It is situated in Kananaskis country, west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The mountain is named, imaginatively enough, after Jumpingpound Creek, which is just west of the mountain. The creek is so named because the Blackfoot Indians drove buffalo over a high, steep bank near its mouth (presumably with an eye to ending their lives).
