A Type 181 or 182 Air Cooled Volkswagen. Also called the Trekker, and the Safari. Some might call it ugly as sin, I personally think it's charming in it's strict adherence to the concept of form following function.
It was produced from 1969 to the early 1980s, however the only two years it was shipped to the US were 1973 and 1974 so they are rather rare here in the states with only 30,000 units being produced for shipment to the US. And only 70,000 worldwide.
