lo-fi indie and left-field
electronica, and sometimes a mixture of both.
555 have released records by, among many others, Hood, The Remote Viewer, Kid 606, the Aislers Set, and Sydney's long-running shambolites, the Cannanes.
As of January 2001, the label changed its name to 555 Recordings of Philadelphia, USA.
