Glome is the term sometimes used by
mathematicians to describe the four-dimensional object analogous to the three-dimensional sphere or the two-dimensional circle. This definition is
specific to four dimensions, no more and no less.
The term comes from the
Latin '
glomus', which means 'ball of string'.
