The finest chocolate Log The ingredients: The cake itself: 6 Large eggs
50g cocoa powder
150g castor sugar The filling: 225 ml double cream
2 large eggs
225g plain chocolate
2 tablespoons water. Pre-heat your oven to gas mark 4, or indeed 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 180 degrees Celsius. A suitable size of tin would be one of the dimensions 29cm by 18cm. And about an inch deep. Oil this tin and line it with grease-proof paper.

Firstly make the filling. Break the chocolate into pieces and add the water. Place the basin over a pan of simmering water and allow the chocolate to melt. When the chocolate has melted add the eggs (beat them a little first). Put the mixture in the fridge to cool.

Whilst the whole egg, chocolate thing is cooling you can make the actual cake. Firstly place the egg yolks in a basin and whisk until thick. Then add the sugar and whisk again until the mixture is a little more thick. Next add the cocoa powder and then the egg whites. Fold the egg whites in gently.

Bake for 20-25 minutes. Then dust with icing sugar or a topping of your choice (nuts Perhaps?) Spread the filling over the cake and then roll it up. You now have a chocolate log. It is nice.
