LiteStep is a shell replacement
for 32-bit Windows. It replaces the explorer
.exe as the main user interface
component, and allows the user to design their own interface
out of images, menus, icons and modules
that perform various useful and distractive functions. It's not the only shell replacement, and it's not the first, but it's certainly the most popular.
Good places to find out more about LiteStep are www.litestep.com
, www.litestep.net, www.desktopian.org. on IRC
, you can try #litestep
and #ls_help, both on EFnet
. Don't bother with any other network, as the people there tend to be a mite ornery.
