One of the first outsource call centres. Formed in 1982 in Southern California by Kenneth Tuchman.
Ken started the business because he was fed up with the way most companies ran their customer service, so with a personal investment of $60,000, TeleTech was formed. TeleTech started out with 10 employees and now employs over 23,000 people worldwide.
TeleTech provides services to several Fortune 500 companies, such as Verizon. They are headquartered in Denver, Colorado, and have 43 call centres around the world in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, The UK, and the US.
I work at TeleTech London (in Canada). We have over 800 agents at our site and are a dedicated site, providing DSL tech support for Verizon Online East (Formerly Bell Atlantic DSL). Any time you ask for DSL tech support in the Verizon Online IVR, you get us.
Our sister site is Birmingham, Alabama which provides tech support for Verizon Online West (Formerly GTE) and Verizon Online Dial-Up.
