Inflammation and swelling of the uveal tract (the iris, ciliary body, and choroids---the pigmented, vascular layer of the eye). Signs may include an irregularly shaped pupil, cloudy deposits on the cornea, pain, and tearing. There is pain, redness of the eye, and clouding of vision. Uveitis is usually an autoimmune disorder, but the cause often remains obscure. Glaucoma may be a major complication.
