The
Chinese version of this magazine is heavily edited to remove all positive references to
Taiwan and
Tibet, which the amazingly anti-Chinese
Time editors are always trying to throw in there to galvanize the entire
world to hate
China and love the
Dalai Lama. Not that the
censorship is necessary (and I abhor all
censorship), because the
Chinese hate
Taiwan anyways, and they all know
the truth about Tibet anyways.
Once, I was offered a fair bit of money to buy all my recent Western issues of Time, Newsweek, US News and World Report, and even National Geographic. Apparently there is a big market for uncensored news, but then again, the American news media is so amazingly biased, it is almost as bad as the Chinese Xinhua News Agency. If people wanted anti-Chinese propaganda, they could just look on the internet. The "Great Firewall" is about as secure as the Great Wall was against the Mongol Horde.
Or they can just read my nodes. I....
