Initially launched by Alan Marke and Heather Hampson in 1986 to produce the Jonathan Ross-hosted, Letterman-esque talk show The Last Resort, Channel X has expanded over fifteen years to become one of Britain's busiest independent producers of light entertainment programming, with shows appearing on just about every major terrestrial, cable and digital channel.
Mainly operating in the field of comedy, Channel X has been responsible for documentaries such as The Doll's House on Bravo, two exclusive, hour-long interviews with Madonna (one with Jonathan Ross, the other with Johnny Vaughan), a one-off documentary about Radio 1 called Hang The DJ and, away from television altogether, Fabulous, a comedy show broadcast on Radio 5.
