To wit: Time, as we think of it, isn't. Minutes, seconds, fortnights, eons are all primitive constructs limiting how we perceive events. The "passing of time" is nothing more than mathematical magic, counting successive numbers.

For example, our agreed notion of Seconds are just fractions of fractions of measurements of motion and displacement, each one being one-sixtieth of an hour, an hour being one twenty-fourth of a day, a day being one-three-hundred-and-sixty-fourth (give or take some) of a year, being the time it takes to get back right where we started from.
