The fourth track from
ten rapid by
mogwai, originally recorded in
1996 for the
Ten Day Weekend compilation. One of Mogwai's many excellently named tunes, second only to
oh! how the dogs stack up. (please note that I do understand the concept of capitalization, but mogwai seem to generally shun capital letters)
After a
non-agressive feedback intro, the track decends into slow calming
guitar over a reverberating bassline, with
half-spoken, half-sung words audiable over the background tide of
feedback noise. No drumming is apparent, apart from a
Velvet Underground-esque heartbeat bass drum.
A relaxing
calming song, the outro of which leaves a slightly sinister
aftertaste. Well placed on
ten rapid to calm the listener down after the climax of
Angels vs Aliens.
