If you lived in
Riverdale and were between the ages of fifteen and twenty, this is where you would spend half of your time. This place is like a
diner, but smaller, kind of gives you the idea that it's a bar, the way there are "
regulars" to the place. The Chocklit Shop was opened in the late fifties by
Pop Tate, who still owns the shop. Over the years, he has ran into plenty of competition from restauarants opening across the street, but always came victorious in the end. The most popular item on the menu is the
chocklit shake.
In a digest issue in the early 1980's, a story featured a time machine built by Dilton. Archie went back to the 1950's and was Pop Tate's first customer. He framed the dollar bill on the wall.
