The Olive Cook Award for a short story was established in 2004 as a result of a bequest made by Olive Cook, who died in 2002. Administered by the Society of Authors, the Olive Cook Award is made on exactly the same basis as the long established Tom-Gallon Award, with the two prizes being awarded in alternate years.
The next award will be made in 2008.
