Benjamin Pell (a.k.a Benjy The Binman), is one of the most peculiar persons currently operating in the bizarre world of the British microcelebrity.
Benjy's claim to fame is that he has personally rummaged through the dustbins of the rich and famous, in a grubby attempt to discover incriminating rubbish to sell to the celebrity-obsessed tabloid media. He has fiddled around in the bins of Neil Hamilton, Mohammed Al Fayed. and Elton John, among others.
Benjy has now found occassional work on British television, principally from bitter satirist Victor Lewis-Smith. His notoriety has been increased thanks to his extremely nervous, highly strung manner, and his habit of shrieking loudly for no apparent reason.
He is a very, very strange man.
