A necessary step in the
slow, painful death of any TV series. This episode is often at or near the end of a season, and is marked by an ungodly amount of
recycled footage. The characters, who have never before been especially prone to
daydreaming, can't hardly get a sentence out without a 3- to 5-minute
flashback. Even the video footage that was
not part of a
previous episode is very badly written/directed. I suspect the clip show is used primarily when the entire studio staff decides to go on vacation before the
season is finished. Possibly because they have no hope in their minds of creating a decent finale to a show so riddled with
unwarranted plot twists.
Excuse me if this sounds
harsh, but when I pull myself away from the computer towards the TV because there's a new episode of a show I like,
DAMMIT I WANT TO SEE SOMETHING NEW. But I digress...
