Gimme (thing)

The (or a) Gimme.

A putt of 18in. or less. This judgement depends on the players in the foursome or the player in the match. Many high handicappers play with gimmes, first tee or wherever they are appropriate. The lack of gimmmes distinguishes the "player" from the "duffer."
