These are
robots which operate
underwater. In the
context of the
Europa Orbiter mission, these would be sent to
Europa once a subsurface
liquid ocean was shown to exist. They would
autonomously melt their way through Europa's
crust and then explore their
surroundings, reporting back to the orbiter periodically with their findings.
