Harley has her own comic!

That's right. The lovely and talented Harleen Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn, is now an official part of the DC Universe, and not just for television any more.

The first issue was released in December, 2000, at the cover price of $2.25. Each issue is full color and if you look carefully, you can spot the Batman silhouette cleverly hidden in every one. Featuring the talents of writer Karl Kesel, penciller Terry Dodson, inker Rachel Dodson, letterer Ken Lopez, colorist Alex Sinclair and editor Matt Idelson, the comic is a wonderful romp into the mind of Harley and what makes her tick. Harley Quinn was created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm.

So far, our anti-heroine has rescued the Joker, boobytrapped an amusement park, had her "puddin" attempt to kill her, been befriended by the enigmatic Poison Ivy, dumped her dearest Mistah J, found her own hideout, had a hideout warming party, hired herself some henchmen (aka the Quinntets), rescued her pet hyenas, and pulled another heist, all the while avoiding capture. And all this she's done by issue 5! What a gal.
