The last and most difficult part of any action. This is most easily illustrated by watching most any install, the last 1% usually takes the longest over any other given percent.

Unfortuantly, the last 1% should not be any harder than the first 99%. It just so happens that programming a progress meter is very difficult for most applications where the input and ouput of work really is not known ahead of time. We may have fusion generators in our homes before we get progress meters that work.

It may serve as a reminder to how far we all still have to go.
