channel. These consist of a
collar connected to a
bracelet by a
leash. They work by creating a
link between the two women connected, but one with a strange form of
feedback in which one can induce extreme
pain in the other. The
Seanchan use these to control all women naturally strong enough in the
One Power to learn to channel on their own, without being taught.
If a man who can channel merely touches an a'dam while it is being worn by a woman who can channel, he suffers intense pain and she suffers a rather unpleasant feeling.
