A main character in Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series of novels. Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, in full, is an old, humorous wizard who very old and very wise (like Gandalf, but more mirthful). He appears in all six (soon to be seven) books of the series and will hopefully continue to appear. He was married once, until his wife was assassinated, and seems to be in some way romantically connected to Adie, an old sorceress. He is always doing the right thing, even if it means hurting others whom he loves. He is an excellent role model to the younger characters in the book and is very much a father figure to them.
