A six-digit code typically used in credit card transactions when the merchant's satellite is down or a normal magnetic strip slide is not working. If the customer's credit card is being denied they may ask to run the card through again, sometimes leading to denial again. In this instance the voice authorization code is used to verify the funds the customer assures the salesperson are present on their account. Occasionally this code is required to charge a person's credit card for unreturned product.
