With the understanding that this adult beverage is a mélange of a dirty martini, vodkatini, and vesper, I couldn't help but share it anyway with more of the world as it is my daughter's. (She shared originally via social media.) I have yet to tell her in person that vodka martini is a misnomer but, here in print, I don't have an issue. I also didn't edit for content or clarity because, as with anything deemed "perfect" in the food and beverage world, perfection is subjective. Practice, experiment, take notes. Drink responsibly, enjoy, and be in joy.

The following assumes one already has a certain level of cocktail preparation knowledge.

Z's Perfect Martini

Sometimes you just need a perfect martini:

• 2.5oz vodka (not gin)
• 2 lemon peels
• .25oz dry vermouth
• 1.5oz olive brine

Stir with ice; do not shake.

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with additional lemon peel and blue cheese stuffed olives.
