Node Volley, Round 6: because I am only half of what you need

Twin pines for crossing the land which is my dominion
Held upright spread-eagle to protect against
Looming chasing screaming doubts fears frights furies
Driving nightmares before them in a stampede of terror

Tarry not, dawdling is your doom, lift your heels
Rushing slipping leaping over rocks logs limbs ditches
Let out the voice, unbar the throat, hurl the words
From the moonlit ridgeline, a shooting star-bright streak

Rising shining lifting a heavenly ladder
Drawn up on a golden thread unraveled from
The binding in the spine of your favorite book
The pages fly loose, so many dead leaves
