The grip is long enough for two hands, which you have to use anyways because even the lightest of these swords, made out of high carbon steel, will weigh at least 4 pounds. Some crappy stainless steel two-handers can weigh as much as 10 lbs. If you want a sword that you can wield with one or two hands, you need a bastard sword. One hand: a longsword, broadsword, or short sword.
