Slashdot (www.slashdot.org (duh)) got cracked last night and CmdrTaco seemed real cool about it. It's kind of refreshing not to see him rant and rave.

Apparently a few kiddies were able to break in because someone hadn't changed the default password on a slashcode test server running at the compound. (Why the hell didn't I grow up in Holland, Michigan?) The crackers didn't shut anything down. They just posted a story at the top of /. saying they had hacked in. Very cool.

Anyway /. is a way high profile site that must get hacked on all the time. Taco says that this is the second time someone's gotten in (that he knows about). That's not a bad record.
