British band often confused with the 60's flower power band the Flower Pot Men.

The Flowerpot Men were Adam Peters and Ben Watkins and they released a couple of EPs in the mid 80s. The band had a very distinct sound, sometimes described as proto-techno, with 140+ BPM bass synths and distorted cellos. Their EPs "Jo's So Mean to Josephine" and "Walk on Gilded Splinters" (with the excellent track "Melting Down on Motor Angel" on the B-side), earned them a short-lived cult status.

The Flowerpot Men mutated into Sunsonic, another short-lived project, and now Watkins can be found in Juno Reactor, while Peters plays with New York-based Family of God, and with Lloyd Cole.
