The "
Innsmouth Look" comes slowly to
humans with
Deep One ancestry, who resemble their monstrous
antecedent more and more as they
age towards
infinity. (Deep Ones do not perish from
old age.) As one with the Innsmouth look ages, his
head becomes progressively narrowed, while his
nose grows flatter and wider. They lose their
hair early, their
eyes bulge out, their
skin becomes rough and
scabby, their
necks, creased. They also begin to achieve a kind of
fishy smell.
