techro is the slang term describing an obsession for dead technology, that which is obsolete but still of a blatantly technological nature. It is a combination of the words technology (silicon, blinking lights, bucket of worms wiring) and necro, the greek word for "dead". Evoking images of a crazed sex fiend with a fetish for pocket calculators, "techro" can be used as an adjective ("whoa, that Atart ST is way techro") or as a noun ("man I scored a whole garbage bin full of old techro circuit boards from the bin behind IVL"). You can identify yourself as suffering from this neurosis if you own several Commodore 64s, an ancient barely functioning speak and spell driven answering machine or especially if you cannot seem to part with your pile of old 286 disk controllers.
