breeze goes through my bones

cuts through my muscles and leaves, bye.

bothers me like home.


i crept along; black

dark through your heart

twisted in your muscles

brought into your breath.

singular stream

of in and out.


homeless girl camps on a bench

   because her pride's too big to swallow

pulls up her collar and turns the other cheek

    the beauty of it all is that

         both cheeks are lashed.
