The shopping mall elves are an endangered species of modern elves. As the great malls fade away into strip malls and giant corporate complexes such as the Metreon, the poor shopping mall elves are loosing their unnatural habitat.

These elves thrive in the fountains and trees planted within the indoor confines of large shopping malls. They thrive on collecting the coins thrown into the bottom of the pools and play after the stores have closed.

There are several varieties of the fair folk that live within the shopping malls. Listed below is a brief sample.

For a novel about where Elfland meets the shopping mall, I highly recommend Mall Purchase Night by Rick Cook.

None of the above fair folk are borrowed from this book. All are original constructs of the over-active imagination (I hope) of the noder.
