An obscure term meaning “attraction to bad guys.” From what little info I could find online, it’s almost always used in reference to women’s desires. This seems a little silly as there are certainly plenty of men who find dangerous ladies appealing. As far as I can tell, it’s an appropriate term to use for the appeal of dark fictional characters as well as unsavory dudes in the real world.

“Philia” is obviously Greek for “love;” “scelero” is the Latin for “to pollute with guilt.” As a root word it imparts a meaning of sin, crime, or desecration.
